A 50-year-old female presented for the evaluation of a one-year history of abdominal pain and diarrhea. Of interest, the patient had a recent diagnosis of dermatitis herpetiformis. An upper endoscopy was performed and revealed scalloped (arrow) and flattened duodenal folds (arrowhead); multiple biopsies were obtained from the second and third portion. The diagnosis was celiac sprue.
