Constipation: Oral: Initial: 2 tablets (17.2 mg sennosides plus 100 mg docusate) once daily (maximum: 4 tablets twice daily).

Constipation: Oral: OTC tablet (Docusate 50 mg and sennosides 8.6 mg/tablet):
Children 2 to <6 years: Initial: 1/2 tablet (docusate 25 mg/sennosides 4.3 mg) once daily at bedtime; may increase to maximum dose of 1 tablet (docusate 50 mg/sennosides 8.6 mg) twice daily
Children 6 to <12 years: Initial: 1 tablet (docusate 50 mg/sennosides 8.6 mg) once daily at bedtime; may increase to a maximum dose of: 2 tablets (docusate 100 mg/sennosides 17.2 mg) twice daily
Children ≥12 years and Adolescents: Initial: 2 tablets (docusate 100 mg/sennosides 17.2 mg) once daily at bedtime; may increase to a maximum dose of: 4 tablets (docusate 200 mg/sennosides 34.4 mg) twice daily
The following adverse drug reactions and incidences are derived from product labeling unless otherwise specified. Frequency not defined.
Gastrointestinal: Abdominal cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting
Genitourinary: Urine discoloration (red/brown)
OTC labeling: When used for self-medication, do not use for >7 days or concomitantly with mineral oil.
Significant drug interactions exist, requiring dose/frequency adjustment or avoidance. Consult drug interactions database for more information.
Other warnings/precautions:
• OTC labeling: Not recommended for over-the-counter (OTC) use in patients experiencing stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or a sudden change in bowel movements which lasts >2 weeks. Not recommended for use longer than 1 week. Not recommended for use in children <2 years of age. Discontinue use and contact healthcare provider if rectal bleeding occurs.
