Premenstrual or menstrual symptoms: Oral: 50 mg after breakfast, may repeat in 6 hours as needed (maximum: 200 mg/24 hours); should be taken 5 to 6 days prior to onset of menstrual period and continued until desired relief or end of period.
There are no adverse reactions listed in the manufacturer's labeling.
Other warnings/precautions:
• Self-medication (OTC use): Patients should drink 6 to 8 glasses of water daily while taking. Patients should be instructed to contact healthcare provider if new symptoms occur or if symptoms last >10 consecutive days.
• Urine discoloration: May temporarily cause urine to be golden tinted.
