Histopathologic features of lichen striatus

A superficial, band-like lymphocytic infiltrate fills dermal papillae and obscures the dermal-epidermal junction. The inflammatory infiltrate is also present in the deeper reticular dermis around adnexal epithelium (H&E 20x).
