Histologic features of trichoblastoma

(A) Trichoblastomas have large islands of basaloid keratinocytes with an associated hypercellular, fibrotic stroma (H&E 40x).
(B) Peripheral palisading of the outermost keratinocytes is present, and dense collections of mesenchymal cells directly adjacent to the basaloid keratinocytes (papillary mesenchymal body) are identifiable (arrowhead) (H&E 200x).
