Micrurus fulvius (eastern coral snake)

Micrurus fulvius (eastern coral snake)
The eastern coral snake is natively distributed in the United States from North Carolina south to Florida and then along the gulf coast to Texas, including southern parts of Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. It has yellow bands next to black bands as shown, which is different from other United States snakes that are not venomous (eg, corn snake or king snake), which have red bands next to black bands.
