Hypercontractility restricted to the LES (panel A). Including the LES in the DCI measurement (dashed box) meets the criterion for hypercontractility, whereas excluding it would result in this being called normal. In the case of a marginal DCI (panel B), including LES in the DCI measurement also results in categorizing the swallow as hypercontractile instead of normal.
