US ruptured long head biceps tendon
Dynamic ultrasound (US) examination of a patient with a ruptured long head of the biceps brachii. In this particular video, the US transducer is being glided in a cephalad to caudad direction beginning at the level of the pectoralis major tendon. The short head of the biceps brachii muscle can be seen forming superficially and medially (left side of the screen) at the beginning of the video. As the video progresses, the atrophic, hyperechoic long head of the biceps brachii muscle can be seen just lateral (right side of the screen) to the short head.
