The manuscript evaluates cost-effectiveness of glaucoma screening with imaging devices and telemedicine based on a screening campaign performed in Spain. The screening strategy implemented in our analysis was cost-effective compared with opportunistic case finding.

Health examination center-based screening provide a good supplement to clinic-based glaucoma care by detecting early-stage glaucoma, especially those with normal intraocular pressure (IOP) and less visual impairment.

IMO visual function analyzer (IMOvifa), a binocular perimeter, has similar output to the Humphrey Field Analyzer (HFA), but reduced the measurement time. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of IMOvifa, a perimeter that performs binocular visual field (VF) testing, and to compare its results with standard automated perimetry.

Early lensectomy in patients presenting pseudoexfoliation (PXF) in an asymmetric clinical stage resulted in effective, safe, and predictable long-term results. Good intraocular pressure (IOP) was found, thus it might be considered as a possible surgical approach in these patients.

The adult children of patients with pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (PXG) had universally lower retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness and ganglion cell complex (GCC) thickness values compared with individuals with a negative family history of PXG.

Trabeculectomy using the Tenon advancement technique with a fornix-based (FB) conjunctival flap showed avascular bleb formation less frequently and had a significantly lower risk of developing bleb-related infections than trabeculectomy with a limbus-based conjunctival flap.

A novel qualitative tomographical classification for bleb after implantation of XEN-Gel-Stent using ab interno approach is presented. Association of anatomic patterns to intraocular pressure (IOP) and success rates (SR) illustrates that anterior segment optical coherence tomography can be useful tool in clinical guidance.

This study examined the integrity of binocular summation function in patients with mild glaucoma. We found that binocular summation of visual acuity is preserved in these patients, despite their reduced monocular inputs.

Among 7846 adults with self-reported glaucoma, low health literacy (LHL) was associated with fewer outpatient ophthalmological follow-up visits, utilization of a greater number of ocular hypotensive medication classes, and higher costs for glaucoma medications.

AB We discuss how ophthalmic endoscopy was used in the management of 6 cases with atypical uveitis glaucoma hyphema syndrome. For case 1, the endoscope was used to remove a retained haptic foreign body after an intraocular lens (IOL) exchange with an iris-sutured IOL for a complete capsular bag-IOL complex dislocation.

To describe a patient with branch retinal artery occlusion that was misdiagnosed as normal tension glaucoma (NTG) Case Presentation: A female 76-year-old patient presenting inferior nasal visual field scotoma, neuroretinal thinning in the optic disk of the right eye with corresponding atrophy of superior retinal nerve fiber layer in optical coherence tomography (OCT).
