Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) is an acquired inflammatory demyelinating disease with optic neuritis (ON) as the most frequent clinical symptom. The hallmark of the disease is the presence of autoantibodies against MOG (MOG-IgG) in the serum of patients.

Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) is an acquired, immune-mediated, and clinically heterogeneous demyelinating disease affecting the nerve roots and peripheral nerves. We report a series of 4 patients who presented with early and progressive vision loss in the context of new-onset CIDP: 3 due to papilledema and 1 due to optic neuropathy without papilledema.

Identifying whether clival cancer has damaged the sixth cranial nerve is a further challenge because minimal clival abnormalities could impinge on the nerve, which travels very close to the clivus.

AB A previously healthy 2-year-old boy presented with a left sixth cranial nerve palsy. There was a family history of multiple sclerosis and optic neuritis. Neuroimaging showed multiple foci of T2/FLAIR hyperintense signal abnormality in both cerebral hemispheres and in the brainstem.
