Essex-Lopresti forearm injury

Essex-Lopresti forearm injury
The lateral and AP plain radiographs of the forearm above reveal a subtle radial head fracture (thick arrow) associated with displacement of the distal ulna (arrows). Such displacement indicates disruption of the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ). The combination of radial head fracture with injury of the interosseous membrane and DRUJ is commonly referred to as an Essex-Lopresti injury.
