Invasive complete mole

In this hysterectomy specimen, opened for pathological examination of the uterine cavity, grape-like fluid-filled chorionic villi are seen diffusely throughout the lesional tissue. Myoinvasion deep into the uterine wall is visible on the cut surface at the lower right of the fundus.
