* Multidetector C-spine CT with sagittal and coronal reconstructions is the recommended study and may be combined with CT of head and other body regions as needed.
¶ Examples include basilar skull fracture; pneumothorax; pulmonary contusion; signs of liver, spleen, pancreas, or kidney injury; fracture of the axial skeleton, or pelvic fracture.
Δ C-spine plain radiographs include lateral, AP, and odontoid views.
